Our Story
Welcome to Belladini's Boutique. So grateful you're here!
The story of our name is rooted in a genuine memory that I hold close to my heart.
"Bella" is what my father called my mother. Bella means, "Beautiful" in Italian. He adored her.
D-I-N-I are the last four letters of my maiden Italian last name. To some extended family members, we were, "The Dini's." (Much easier & shorter to say than our original longer last name).
After spending a lot of time brainstorming ideas, my son suggested, "Why don't you name it something Italian"? After he said that, "Belladini's Boutique" popped into my mind and off we went!
You see friends, Belladini's Boutique represents more than just meaning, it brings about real-life memories for me. Remembering my precious father suddenly passing away when I was only 3 years old. My mom was left with 4 of their 9 children at home to continue raising without my dad. Many years prior, my parents lost their fourth child, a baby daughter at just 2 days old. Understandably, after my dad's passing, my mom fell into a deep depression. It was difficult.
When I was about 8 years old, my mother courageously answered a local newspaper ad and started volunteering at the local Emergency Food Bank. Immediately, she found joy in helping others, and as a result, that depression lifted. She found her purpose. As a child, I noticed wonderful and happy changes in my mom's life. I witnessed the joy she gained by helping people in need at the Food Bank. Her passion for working at the Food Bank as both a volunteer and later as a staff member lasted thirty (30) plus years. She made a valuable difference in people's lives and the community.
My mom taught me courage, strength, and determination even in the most difficult of times. She truly loved others generously. In January of 2022, my mom peacefully passed away and entered the full presence of Jesus.
Belladini's Boutique reminds me of my mom's determination and motivation to do something good and beneficial during hardship. Belladini's Boutique reminds me that storms come, the winds blow hard but eventually sunshine will burst through, and new growth comes. Purpose revives. Joy comes again.
My dad was right when he called my mom "Bella." She truly was a beautiful soul indeed.
To honor both of my parents, Belladini's Boutique contributes a small percentage of proceeds to the Emergency Food Bank where my mom spent many years helping others.
Thank you for allowing me to share the inspiration and how we chose the name Belladini's Boutique.
With kind regards,
Angela, owner of Belladini's Boutique LLC
